Before and After.

Well, figured I'd post some before/after pictures. Before is just when I got the car, after is today.

A few notes. Some of the interior trim bits are out still. I've got them, just need to get new clips for them. Also, I know the shifter-surround doesn't match. I pulled it from a 96 at the junkyard. Rather have the switch.

Still need to get rid of the white wheels.

So first the before pictures. I forgot to get some interior shots, but it was just as bad as the exterior. Dirt, cigarette ash, mold all over the place.

First the before:

Here's the old water pump. Disgusting.

All I can say is... WOW!!!! That is awesome!

It's cost a pretty penny. would have been cheaper to but one in better shape, but I picked this up as a project/learning car. Long way left to go still on the project.

I've learned tons, and feel like I barely scratched the surface.

I still can't believe that a free MAACO paintjob turned out this well. You can see the imperfections up close, but you've got to be pretty darn close.

I know it would probably have increased the dollar number, but did you think of going for a two-tone? (black roof/trunk). A red SVX with a black roof and trunk and dark tint would look amazing.

W:eek:W, looks great. Would be perfect with a stock spoiler. I like the color. Very nice, Good job. :)

:WTF: show off

...good job man

mysvxrocks 03-11-2008 07:59 PM

Did it originally have a spoiler? It looks like theres 2 holes on each side of the trunk in a couple of the before pictures... If so, how come you didnt keep it?

I nearly bought a JDM one off dayle.. then I took a good look at my car and decided it shouldn't have a spoiler/wing ... good call on the delete

Great Resto Job.

Very nice... the white rims dont look too bad, although they draw attention away from the car when reflecting off the sun.

techy101 03-11-2008 09:59 PM

No. The kid who had it before me had bolted an ugly ass cheepo spoiler on the trunk. I agree it would look good with the stocker.

Wow, she's pretty.

Wish I lived nearby, I'd take mine to that MAACO for a cheap paint job if it would come out that good!;)
