The coolest cars I ses are always at my little brothers baseball games...a week ago I saw an audi R8 V10 it was beautiful and today I saw this

A tesla roadster...its not as pretty as the R8 but still cool

Cool? The Roadster is amazing. Ideally, this would be my SVX replacement car... but since I'm not made of $100k, not anytime soon.

Lucky to see one in person you are! I'm hoping to rent one in Chicago next year for a day or two and enjoy the hell out of some 0-60 3.2 second bursts! :)

yeah it was pretty sweet...it is real small in person a lot smaller than i thought...its funny i was debating on waiting around for the person to start it up but then i remembered that it isnt gonna make a sound!! :lol:

i would personally take the R8 :D

one thing that i found out is that there is a Porsche, a lambo, and a lotus dealer only about 15mins from my house...i kind of want to go in one day in a suit and just be like i wanna test drive the murcielago :lol:

Had a chance to look at a tesla at a car show at our college. I missed out getting to ride in it, but some of the other faculty got to go for a ride and drive it. They said that it was funny to have so much power, but no real noise. :lol:

ultimately useless car. it only goes 120 miles, and takes 16 hours to recharge. and it costs $98,000

I don't think people buy them for their "utilitarian" features.

One of my good friends has one (as a 2nd car) and loves it. Who wouldn't? A high torque electric motor fitted to a modified Lotus... what more could you want for driving fun?

120? I don't know where you get that at as the average is 240 mile per drive with some hitting upwards of 280. The charge time may be slow but I think they have it down to 12 hours now... which is perfect for the next day riding.

A 100k car isn't something you exactly rack endless miles up on anyways but I could get by on an entire week with one charge and love it to death!

Besides, 98k is pocket change. lol ;)

Make one that can travel 6 miles twice a day, five days a week between charges, even with the heat on in 10*F weather with AWD and adjustable height suspension, and the parking lot at work would be a lot prettier over the winter. You know, if some obscene amount of money mysteriously found its way to me...

I need 4 miles a day with heat for about $4,000... Should be possible I think. I saw some in NY at Lake Placid. the cops used them for meter duty .Looked like oversize golf carts with roofs . Can go 50 MpH Registered as alternate vehicles..http://www.acarplace.com/cars/GEM.html

If I had to buy a "green" sports car that wasnt 100k I would get the honda CRZ...i thinks it looks pretty cool
