Reading X Itinerary/ Activities
.
With less than four weeks to go, there hasn't been much discussion about planned or organized activities for this year. In the past we have had covered bridge tours, rallies, trips to various destinations, tech sessions and the like. I have not seen anything forthcoming on this issue. Is anything being planned. What about dinner at Cafe 110 or the infamous Shady maple? I have been contacted my more than one new (or new to Reading) member, asking what usually goes on. They have researched previous Reading activities and are wondering about this year. Coming from a long distance to their first meet, one said to me " "Well, I'm not sure if i can make it, not sure my car will be in good enough condition to warrant driving so far for a meet. What do you do at the meet, do you still drive around? I read the history of Reading, driving around twistys and the countryside appeals to me... just standing around in a Holiday Inn parking lot... not so much." Any thoughts? I know the Pace Car/ Race car took center stage last year. The activities of the nine meets before that were varied. What about this year? . |

The candy van may not be at Reading this year...
It is parked next to a playground, next to our new house, up in Pittston... |

Do we have any information on Saturday night dinner at Café 110? . |
Re: Reading X Itinerary/ Activities
John,
The Simone Auto Museum is by the Phila Airport. It is about a 1 1/2-2 hour drive from Morgantown. Maybe we can drive there on Sat. |
Re: Reading X Itinerary/ Activities
I could go for the Simone Auto Museum. I might try to do a Mapquest that would take us all the way on back roads.
