Big Explosion In Lebanon

It's like a bad day today. there was a very big explosion in Beirut, Lebanon today killing the Lebanese Prime minister along with two others and a lot of pedestrians... it's like a very sad day, especially that the USA is currently helping Lebanon getting its independance...
the explosion left a very big gap in the street of around 30 feet deep... the bomb was intended to be big enough to knock out 3 or 4 bulletproof 2004 Mercedeces 600S. It's a tragedy and there will be 3 mourning days where all businesses will be closed..
Terrorism is everywhere in the World, we just wanna live in peace.
I wish you all prosperity, peace and happiness in all your life...

I just found out that terrorists also set off bombs in Manilla killing 11 and wounding 130 people.

It seems that these attacks are coordinated, if not, it seems a pretty great coincidence.

Just saw it on the news...man what a terrible thing :(

n00b on demand 02-14-2005 07:45 PM

This reminds me of the time in 2002 when terrorists were able to get into India's parliament building in the capitol strapped with explosives and tried to kill the Prime Minister. And they blew themselves up and killed many....:(

thank you all guys for your consideration about the issue...
This Ex prime minister (Rafic Hariri) managed out of nothing he owned, to build up Beirut after the Lebanese Civil War...
I know it is not good to talk in a bad way about the dead, but along with building Lebanon after the War, he was a professional thief... when he appeared in the Lebanese Government was in 1991, his wealth was approximately around 4 billion $... he succeded by the year 2005 to have as an approximation of 40 billion $... he is the one behind the election of french president Jacques Chirac, he paid for his campaign and also build schools and universities around here where he paid for the education of 33,000 students...
but on the other hand he was a thief, as a Prime Minister, he has an access to lands... when a land is worth 5000$ per square meter, he would make a formal decree where he reset its price at 100$ per square meter, buy the land then reset its square meter price to 5000$... he was a professional thief.
but before the Lebanese elections (THE COMING ONES IN MAY) he switched to opposing the Syrian invasion to Lebanon (before he was with the presence of it in Lebanon)... for his decision, they managed to suicide him by the blast you saw on the news... today was his burial, over 1.5 million people and ministers, consuls all over the world including USA, Britain, Saudi Arabia, Jordan.....and Jacques Chirac himself came to pay the respects for his family...
Even though he was a Muslim Sunnite (not Chiite like Ousama Bin Laden... don't get it the wrong way, a Chiite killed him and was attached directly to Syria), His death was a true tragedy to our community...

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SINCERE THOUGHT, AND MAY GOD BLESS EVERYONE...
