Anyone in FLorida...

that is good with subaru engines and wouldnt mind possibly helping me tear mine out and stripping it down to the shortblock, I would be eternally grateful if you could possibly help me when i decide i need to pull the engine and get it sent out to paeco..I would be willing to pay you (unfortunately not very much do to lack of money) but I will always be there to help any one that helps me with my car...Well i figure it was worth a shot, so if anyone is able to help me that is awesome if not, no biggie you all have provided with me so much help already its greatly appreciated as always....Well thanks and hav e a good day.

there are a couple of people closer - don't know about their experience - wait and see if any respond. I have pulled engines, but not a Suby motor. That's a pretty long haul for me but could do it with some planning - probably need a week or two advance notice for an all day kitchen pass (have to be on a weekend & depends on what my wife has planned for any given day). If nothing else comes through for you I will do my best.

if needed, you can e-mail me direct at lbridges@cfl.rr.com

I'm alot closer (Lutz) but "properly" tearing down a motor is beyond my experience. I wish I had more to offer. No, I really do!

Do you have shelter to do this in?

I possibly have a lead on a very good deal on an engine for my car so i think i can use my friends garage and his tools at his house. He has a cherry picker and a pretty decent amount of tools. So hopefully i will be able to score this engine....If any of you still want to help any and all hands are always more than appreciated....He is almost done with mechanic school and im learning as i go and have the shop manual, and most importantly you all on here to help me...If you would be interested though in possibly helping/learning/teaching us it would be greatly appreciated, and the favor would always be there in return from me atleast can't guarantee my friend...Thanks again

Hey its not hard to do, you guys should be able to do it in one day. its more time consumming than hard..... just make sure you have a floor jack to go along with the cherry picker. It will help you get the right tilt on the tranny for the install.
