Autocross Today

Yes, it is Sean .... A 1986 16 valve, 4 cyl. They run like stink!

Yes, it was a fun course, especially the long sweeper (which was "off camber"). But the start was the most challenging - those turns were sharper than they looked. I think I could have done a bit better if I had slowed down through them. And of course, the rain made it interesting in the afternoon .....

BTW, did you see the video on FaceBook of my son's Mustang at Summit leading a whole pack of V-8's down the straight at the Shenandoah circuit yesterday. God those cars sounded good!

Bill, here is the link for the car "following Tom" in the FaceBook video. I think this is a late model Mustang Cobra. He eventually passes Tom in the 1999 Mustang, but the video sure gives a great feel for the Shenandoah circuit. Tom is beginning to get the feel of the Mustang, moving from a Ford STV Focus - quite different to say the least! Also note the STI that passes the Mustang ....

I stand corrected. That WAS NOT another Mustang following (and passing ) Tom. It was a RX-7 Masda WITH a LS-6 Corvette V-8 in it! Just was corrected by Tom .... I did notice in the video that the speedo and tach were not working quite as expected .....
