Emergency brake

Could my e-brake be stuck and causing alot ofnoise when i apply the brakes? the light is on when the handle is down, but ive had this noise coming from when i apply my brakes and im wondering if maybe it could be a sticking e-brake. help!

If the E brake was stuck on it would make noise all the time. Have you checked the regular brake pads or your fluid level?
