I love Halloween. Yeah it may be hyped up by the ads and all that crap but it's fun. Know what's commercialized bull****? How everyone goes to work everyday, goes home says hi to the misses, sleeps and goes back to work the next day. Yay that's fun. Do you not celebrate Christmas either?

And I'll be carving a regular pumpkin lol. If I can find time. Unfortunately I'm a product of this American commercialized bull**** as well.

THERE'S your problem :D

Yeah, remember who's birthday it is, keep Christ in Christmas.

NikFu S. 10-25-2007 06:18 PM

Also do not forget there are two celebrations on December 25th. One is yours, the Christian celebration, and one is theirs, the celebration of Chris (Kris, whatever) Kringle the gift giver.

I for one do not celebrate anything, not even my birthday, but I do respect holidays, commercialized or not, frivilous or not. They are integral to humanity and culture and our last defense from being absorbed into the corporate business machine year round.

Besides, I like to see people dress up in weird outfits for basically no reason. Halloween is great.

Dito. Halloween has nothing to do with comercialization for me. It's all about having some fun, letting the imagination go a bit wild, pretending to be something else...Plus there's always someone throwing a fun costume party;)

Also... never forget that christmas is a pagan celebration that was adopted by christians to make it easier to absorb pagans into their new religion ;)

happy halloween

and let's realize that the christians have become pagan. halloween is an irish catholic holiday. just go to mass on all hallows eve and see real live celibate druids eating flesh and blood, remember it's the thought that counts.
