Alarm / security system issues
 

My door locks automatically unlock, about 30seconds after I lock them. In other words, I hit the button on the remote to lock the doors and they lock but seconds later the locks automatically unlock. Even if I lock the doors manually they still unlock seconds later. The car has an aftermarket alarm system which as far as I know wasnt working.

So are you using the stock security system to lock the doors? My first guess is that the aftermarket system is causing the problem, find the aftermarket box and make sure it is completely disconnected.

I didn't install the aftermarket alarm. Where are they usually placed? Yes, I'm using the stock alarm to open/close doors.

The aftermarket one is probably under the dash above the pedals somewhere???
