Summer Project

I finally wrapped up my summer project today. New rotors, S/S lines, pads, wheels, center caps and lug nuts. Now to bag it up for next year

how do you get your rims to back to factory like yours...or do you not live wehre it snows? mine are peeling. thinking sandblast them? any ideas?

I would also like to know this, we have a sand blaster at the shop and I can get them coated whatever they need to be done too! When people mention powder coating them, what are they actually done in?

Holy crap, its a clone of my pearl in stock mode... lol Looks nice.

Very nice looking rims....I hope to do this one day....maybe one set of the 92-93 style and my other set the silver like you have.

Thanks for complements, after looking at about a million aftermarket wheels I decided new OEM best suited the svx. I'm not to good at making decisions when presented with a lot of options :D

Looks absolutely great. Now that is a motivation to re-shine mine. That's how they should all look like. Mine is suffering from salty winters. :(

Hocrest 09-18-2006 01:20 PM

Looks good. Nice choice on the wheels:cool: I think that the stock wheels look pretty damn good...
Especially when they are all new and shiney:)

I have a copy of road & tracks guide to the svx on the coffee table. Seeing all those new svxii is driving me nuts. You wouldn't believe how clean the inner parts of these rims are

msvx95 09-19-2006 04:50 AM

Did you buy those rims new? or take them to get refinished?
I'm soon going to get them refinished if I can....I think this place has a deal where you trade in your rims for refinished new ones...it makes for a quicker turnaround.

michael 09-19-2006 05:24 AM

They're new. Was the place in PA? I thought about going that route myself but they were a little pricey. Someone here has a new set for sale, I don't know if they are still availabe or who it was.

msvx95 09-19-2006 05:26 AM

It's called Transwheel...forgot where they are....maybe PA, but they work with another company near Cleveland/Akron Ohio area.
