Watch towards the end of the clip for a 0-210 launch... 60 in 1st gear

That was 210kph of course.
I'd love one of those cars! I wouldn't love the maintenance though. They featured it on the most recent episode pf Top Gear. Jeremy Clarkson couldn't stop talking about it. Apparantly it costs more than 4x more to build one than what they are selling them for. |
And its a W engine.... god it sounds phenomenal

Yep!
That car is infreakingcredible. 987BHP and 922lb-ft of torque from 7993cc. You must read the review and technical breakdown in R&T. ie: If one intends to exceed 233mph  the car must be brought to a complete stop, a second key inserted to the left of the driver's seat to engage top-speed mode, ensuring the driver goes through a "pre-flight" checklist including tire pressures. Three handling modes set ride height F&R as well as spoiler angle, and in TopSpeed mode application of the brakes beyond a preset pedal pressure kicks it down into Handling mode. I would imagine most of these cars are already spoken for by those with a cool $1.2mil of play money, heated garage and a resident tech/mechanic. The detail of trimwork and interior pieces make one think of artwork rather than a motoring conveyance. The White/Grey color combo is most attention grabbing!!! WOWOWOW!!!

Maybe not all of them. There is one sitting in that exotic car dealership inside the Forum shops at Caesar's Palace. I didn't give it much thought. I didn't know it was all of this.
I wasn't allowed near it anyway. They have a walkway for us nobodys to use and we walk above and look down at the cars. Ya gotta be somebody to walk through the gate on the ground floor. |
the vector w-2 back in the day was 110 moh in 1st gear

1.2 mil? Just give me $125k and I'll go get a Ford GT...
http://www.fasterfords.com/pictures/other/GT40_03.jpg Only 550hp but thats not bad right? :D Still gets you 200mph, supercharged 5.4L all aluminum V8 with 101.9hp/liter, 0-62 in 3.8 seconds, 205mph top speed (might get passed by a Carrera GT but not much else), and still get 13/21mpg. |
Like you could get one for the MSRP!
These guys didn't want to pay the price. http://www.news10.net/storyfull2.aspx?storyid=14798 $30K in damages! Glenn |
$138,000 from Richmond Ford in Richmond, VA
Surprisingly they arent all spoken for and they plan to produce more. |
138,000 is alot less then the postage for the license plate I let you borrow and the remote transmitters you promised me 3 weeks ago boxer6

The Ford GTs are not selling like hotcakes, and you can buy below MSRP in the right places.
They are also not that great, except for the supercar status. An '06 Corvette Z06 has far more to offer, besides the supercar image, for quite a bit less. |
And yet despite the sales they are making another version due late 07/early 08
Mmm id love a Z06... |
