Got bit by the bug.
 

Drove an '06 STi today. WOW!!! Makes you want to run out and get one before the neighbors do. I think I'm going to try and get one early next year. I saw the window sticker and it was priced just under 40k, and because I work at a dealership, I automatically get close to 10k knocked off. Also drove an '04 STi that was priced for 20k with my discount. Soon......very, very soon.

'06 STI's have an MSRP in the low 33K range, and even if you went wild on the SPT upgrade list, it'll be hard to top 37K. Only way an STI will have an MSRP in the 40K range is if it's one of those ESX upgraded STIs. :)

The window sticker advertised, here in boise mind you, $39,995. With my employee discount I would be getting it for close to 30k.

Go to www.subaru.com Keith. The MSRP of any '06 STI sold in the US w/ destination charge is around 33K.

that's a HUGE B.S. dealer markup, probably because the '06 STi's just came out.

checking at Larry Miller Subaru in Boise (and what looks like the ONLY Subaru dealer in Boise), the most expensive '06 STi they have in stock (loaded) is $35,484.

a local dealer here has the same car for $34,278. Subes must be expensive in teh Idaho, but $39k is ridiculous.

It is a pretty ginormous mark up. I'll have to run back on Monday to check teh price again. I could be wrong.
