Tail Lights and Rear Light Bar
I recently acquire NIB tail lights (with new gaskets) and an extremely nice used rear light bar.
Does any one have any ideas how to avoid the moisture on the inside of the these from happening again? I am more concerned with the light bar... I dont think the new tail lights will leak. |
Re: Tail Lights and Rear Light Bar
also have new gaskets for the rear light bar also

Re: Tail Lights and Rear Light Bar
Resist the temptation to tighten the nuts too much when reinstalling your lights. Just tighten them down evenly until they are fairly snug.
Too much torque compresses the gasket between the lens and the body and has a "cookie-cutter" effect on the gaskets. . |
Re: Tail Lights and Rear Light Bar
I put electrical tape all around the light bar when I put mine back in order that the water flow a little differently around light. Also, I drilled two small holes in the bottom of the light bar so that there is some air flowing through there in order to dry out the inside should it ever get wet.
