Side badges

Does anyone know what year the side badges (behind the rear window) were added to the SVX? I know I havent seen them on all SVX's, and my '92 doesnt have them, so I was wondering when they first started showing up.
Here is a pic, incase someone doesnt know what im referring too. |
They started going on the 93s and were on the other years as well. You can get them from subaruparts.com or 1stsubaruparts.com.
Part number is J1210PS040 and cost around $15. each. :) |
My 93 came with them.

The side emblems were added in 1993 to the 25th anniversary SVX, all of which were red. These badges continued until the end of production in 1997
They were not on the 92's. However, many members have added these to their 92 SVX's to update the look to the later models. . |
I took them off my 93.

I'm thinking of putting Alcyone (sp?) or what not there, was that standard? ever? =) My tiburon has the non-US Tuscani 2.7 Elisa badges, might as well continue the trend =)

In 1992, there were 2 models: LS (base model) and the LS-L (which had the touring package with leather seats, sunroof, CD, etc.)
Optional accessories available for either model was the rear spoiler, engine block heater, and the CD player (which was included with the touring package) 1993's were all loaded LS-L. 1994-95's had 3 models: The L, LS, and LSi 1996-97's had 2 models: L and LSi For the complete specs for all of the years, go to Joe Spitz'z website: http://www.cars101.com/subaru_svx.html . |
