Nice array of Mopar lawn ornaments

As the Batmobile has become a garage queen, I decided to stretch its struts this weekend with a leisurely cruise through some of the new affluent neighborhoods that have sprung up around me, reassuring my embarrassment to be living in a home without a 30 foot high foyer.
As I tooled down a two-lane blacktop, something tickled the corner of my eye. I made a U-turn & swung into a neighborhood of McMansions. I parked in front of McMansion number one & stared. There, parked on its triple wide driveway were a purple, a yellow & a black Plymouth Prowler. I barely noticed the TWO Dodge Vipers keeping the Prowlers company. The Jag convertible must have belonged to the gardener.
I guess this COULD have been a meet, but there were no drooling humans anywhere to be seen. I thought about knocking on the door, & saying, "Hey, you wanna' see a REAL cool car with goofy windows"?
But, alas, I meekly drove away.
Love or hate Chrysler, you gotta' admit, them Prowlers provide some one-of-a-kind eye candy.

Ron (I wonder if Earl likes Prowlers).

What, you mean your house doesn't have a 30 foot foyer?
-Bill (reminding himself he has to get up to Ron's house to pick up the bumber cover....)

Ron Mummert 07-11-2004 09:53 PM

I don' got no steenkin' bumBer covers in my foyer, Bill,
but I DO have a bumPer cover in the garage.

Ron (should I drag it to the Winchester auto-X)?

Okay, so my spelling abilities go down significantly the later it gets in the day....
I'm not sure about Winchester right now -- my upper radiator tank cracked on me right as I got to FedEx field for Sunday's SCCA AutoX. No, I did not run:mad:
(I did make it home without a towtruck -- multiple stops and a lot of water added along the way....)
-Bill (ready to add "and I've changed the radiator" to his list of SVX "bin there, done that" stuff)

Rondo,

I didn't know that the "Mopar Duke of Earl" lived by you in Maryland.

Larry

That is my Uncle Stainless

Steele  ;)

....and his cousin Rusty.

Ron, saw a Prowler near Johnson City a few months back.

My neck muscles are still recovering. Those suckers do get
your attention....

OK, Lee....so maybe I have a few ostentatious friends, but look at my cheesy 30 foot hillbilly horizontal foy-yay front porch!

Ron (...not easy to stay humble when yer perfect in every way).

ensteele 07-13-2004 11:55 PM

Ron - I didn't know that you liked Red so much. I see you have a couple of Randy's favorite in there too. :D

Earl (Ron, you have me beat !!!) ;)

WARNING!!! LEGAL LIMIT HAS BEEN EXCEEDED!

Ron....you little 'ol winesipper you.

You've been holding out on us.

(and holding up the neighborhood from the looks of it!)

And you can't loan you're old hillybilly buddy just ONE of
those red asphalt burners to use until SuperRu is up and
running again?

Remember what they taught us in school Ron......SHARE!
(just don't run in a car with scissor-doors)

I know, the driveway is blocked by one of them
and the guy lost his keys....(arms crossed...foot tapping)

Suddenly it hits me. Regarding the silver beast front 'n center. It answers the Jeopardy question, "What would the 2005 Corvair look like if Ralph Nader had never been born"?

Ron (Sure, you can paint my porch, little lady,)
