bought myself a 300zx
Hey everyone. Have not been on the forums for a while... lost my license for 6 months... so sold my 92 svx.
starting driving around in an old 1984 Ford falcon.. but after a week of that.. i had to get myself something else.. Saw this car parked in the carpark at work... asked the owner about it... and he was selling. Its a 1991 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo Targa top.. Imported from Japan last year... so unsure of the history, but clocked up 3000km in the 6 weeks of having it. Oh man... the power this thing has... Leaves the svx for dead... but i will admit... the svx was alot more comfortable... and a smoother ride.. heres a picture of it... and another of my started install with one of my Audiobahn 12" sub woofers. http://a790.ac-images.myspacecdn.com...1be07ca93d.jpg http://a444.ac-images.myspacecdn.com...b5dac0d07b.jpg |
automatic??? Is it a TT version?
|
ya, that looks like an auto.
As to leaves us in the dust, the TT should (it has twin turbos) the reg. version however we smoke. hehe. |
although the right hand driver side makes up for the auto, so + (<--- thats a cross) you have my blessing (I know you were worried, LOL!)
|
Congrats on the new car...
I have a 91 300ZX twin turbo in my driveway. I love these cars, but the SVX is so much easier to work on. |
PSSSST....your steering wheel is on the wrong side.:D
Gorgeous car...Gotta love the T-tops |
Bah, put that against my SVX on the snow and we'll see who leaves who in the dust.:p

Nice find, I love 300ZXs! In my opinion 300ZX > 350Z
|
350z is very nice thou. And with a little work those things are really fast!
dont get me wrong, the zx is really good, but the z, put the cheap (for a turbo set up) and it blows by almost everything on the road. |
One of the only other things non-subi on my list of cars to own is a 300ZX, but I want a z32 and swap in a GT-R trani for the AWD. Really one of the only things that's sexxier than the SVX in my opinion but they are really close. Still don't get the full reasons why Subaru never made a TT or SC SVX. Would have kept the sales alive I think. Oh well. Congrats. I'm sure you'll pick up another SVX some time down the road though.
