5th Annual West Coast Subaru Show

Mrs. Seasvx & I will be taking the mighty ninety-four up to this event for the day; as always, the company of other SVX friends would be grand!

Are you going to participate, or just attend? I may go over for that. Sounds interesting. Some of their links did not work, so I couldn't see "What will I be doing"

May see you over there. :)

we're going to take all our SVX stuff along & put our car in the show & shine event.

Gotta have some SVX representation among all those Impreza / WRX types!

Alycone 06-20-2003 04:33 PM

I'd like to go and see the other subies. I don't plan on entering the show, although I'll have my dent out by then, if nothing else expensive breaks.

WestCoastSVX 06-23-2003 01:12 PM

Come on, every SVX that makes the trip up there should enter the show! It's only $5 extra and that way they can be all lined up in the show and represent better! Maybe if there is a big SVX showing this year, next year Jamie will revert back to the old days when there was more than one trophy class for the SVX. It doesn't really seem fair to judge modded vs. stock, there could be great examples of both, for different reasons.

I've never been to a car show before, so I think I'd prefer to just observe it. Besides, I won't be home til late the night before, and waxing in the dark really doesn't work.

When & where does Subaru put on an East Coast car show?

Trust me, this isn't a big intimidating deal. :) This is put on by the local Subaru club based in the Seattle area. It's generally the Imprezza gang that gets together, but this is like their once a year big event that they really push and advertise for to get a lot of participation. I think most of the participants are still in the Seattle area. If you get any more work done at Mike's place between now and then I'm sure he will push you to enter. :D Smart Service is a big sponsor of it.

As far as waxing your car and stuff.... Guess who won for the SVX class last year? Tim with his pearly... :D (because he was the only SVX that showed)

Hey where is Tim these days?

Larry see my comment to Alycone. This isn't actually put on by Subaru, it is put on by a local Subaru enthusiast club, not unlike the SVXWN. I'm sure there are similar events all over the US, it is up to the local clubs to do whatever they want I suppose. This particular NW group isn't affiliated with any other clubs that I know of.

Larry

Even thought this is a very small show, it is still bigger than the East Coast one! :p :D Being the East Coast Dealer, you should start one. :)

In the past this has actually been a fairly large show I hear. It's just that the SVX record is like 3, back the first year they did it. It's just that it is dominated by Imprezzas, which are quite populous in the NW. And I think they do actually get cars from all over the West Coast.

I would love to bring the new one and show it off. I will try to get there. What time does it start?

Jim - what stuff are you going to bring. Are my meaning stuff to shine it up / detail stuff? I was thinking of doing the same thing. Should be fun. :)

seasvx 07-02-2003 10:41 AM

time of event:

9 am to 5 pm
$5 per carload to enter
another $5 to enter the show

By "stuff", I was refering to all the original publications I have on the car: owners manual, original window sticker, 1994 sales brochure, SVX prototype brochure, magazine ads, and the portable DVD player so I can run the SVX promotional video in-car. But waxes, wheel goop etc. isn't a bad idea either! See you there!
