Stereo Power Current drop when starting

Hello all,

After wiring in my new DVD player and Raspberry Pi I have decided I would like to make it so when starting I do not lose current to the DVD player and Raspberry Pi. I have it wired to the stereo power and running through a converter to supply the correct 1A. Is there a way to modify the wiring to the stereo to avoid the current drop but maintain the Pi and DVD player.

Anyone have experience doing something similar to wiring?

Edit:

The dvd player did not come wired for power antenna, could someone elaborate on how the antenna is sent up and down? Adding a switch is not out the question but I would like to make this antenna function.

For the antenna, sending a 12v+ to that wire will cause the antenna to go up. When you remove the 12v the antenna will go down. I have an extra park light/heated mirror switch in place of the coin holder that interrupts the signal from my stereo since I hardly ever listen to the radio.

Thanks Dave, I kind of figured that was the case. I had taken the pin out of the old plug and transferred to the new one. The result was the antenna always up which was not desired. I kind of figured it was a case of supply power it says up, remove it up it does down.
