HELP Please... Seatbelts
I have a manual front seat belt to put into my 92... I was told it was direct drop in, but theres no bolt hole for the top portion of the belt. Do I need to make one or what?
|
We had one on the Racer, that's a 92. Look again, did you remove the track?
|
Where does it hook onto the bottom? I got the top right, but I cant get the rear panel in, the thing that retracts the belt is in the way... Did I do it wrong? Yes I did remove the track
|
Want to give me a phone number to call you on to help walk me through it? :o
|
Not sure, on the Racer, there is no rear panel. But I seem to remember that the mechanism went inside the car frame???
92's in most other countries had manual belts... |
 I cant figure it out....

I couldn't find it in the How-To, but the instructions are in his locker. Have fun... |
Thanks for the link. It made life so much eaiser
Only thing now, theres a loud buzzing comming from behind me. Anyone have ideas as to what it could be? Where is the auto belt control module thingy, could it be that? Also, how do I make the seatbelt warning guy stop flashing at me? Thanks -Dennis |
Seatbelt module is mounted under the package tray, it is accesable from the trunk.
Thats what is buzzing, unplug it, and the flashing light should go away, so should the buzzing. |
Well the flashing went away, but not the buzzing...
Its comming from the middle of the rear seat, on the bottom. Does it always do it? Ive got the rear seat out, so its just the bottom of the car. I can also hear liquid. It makes the buzzing sound foe about 5 seconds when the car is first turned on, then it goes away, then comes back when the car is started. Is it the fuel pump im hearing? |
Yeah, that's the fuel pump. The sound should go away (or be hidden again) when the seat goes back on.
