Some of you may get a kick out of this.
In my never ending quest to spend money and have nothing to show for it. I give you my latest electrical engineering project
http://www.frequency-consulting.com/images/bluefram.jpg Some of you may know why I'm screaming right now. Yes, that is an actual computer screen embedded in there. -Patrick |
Is it a picture frame?? or what??:)
|
Unmountable boot volume?
Is the project the monitor, or is the project what's causing the BSOD? |
We need a little more information. :)

awwwwnuts! :p
just put your old moniter back on, boot in safe mode, put the generic svga driver back on. Then download the correct drivers and software and install them.... THEN reboot with the new monitor back in.... if nothing... have fun with your xp installation. :( ..or boot with manual confirmation and figure out what is throwin the "BSOD" at ya and deny it the next time around. |
Lol,
Thanks for all the recommendations guys. The hard drive has physically wreaked (head crash) The machine is a wrecked IBM thinkpad with another thinkpad contributing parts (backlight ballast, spare hard drive, etc) I just thought you guys would get a kick, Its already up and running, the whole machine is contained in the frame, I wanted somthing that would look good on my desk. It rocks, and looks great with my brushed alunminum keyboard and mouse. ANd just for reference, an unmountable boot voulme error will not be rectafied with safe mode, it occurs before windows boots at all. -Patrick |
thats cool!!!!!
|
I had an idea like that. We have a Fedex Kiosk here at work with a touch screen. That would be awesome to turn into a "live picture"...or a reference tool in the kitchen (for recipes).

Hey I had this same problem, or similar.
I did a search for the exact problem on yahoo, typing the "Unrectifiable blab lab bal" including the _ symbols, and I found a fix involving the boot disk and restore console. Maybe this will fix your problem too? My friend had the same BSOD before windows even loads, and he did what I did and his was fixed after finding a forum post by searching on Yahoo Maybe this will help, duno :( |
A new hard drive is what's going to fix his problem :)

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
The_frame_is_crooked If this is the first time you have seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If the screen appears again, follow these steps: Locate a carpenters level, and face the screen. Now whack the hell out of the monitor with the level until the error screen goes away. If problems continue, you are not whacking it hard enough. Reboot and retry. |
hahahahahahahaha
