I think they're S1 evo's. I'm not sure, I honestly haven't looked that carefully yet :o

I can't say I'm a fan of matte black, but they do work on your car, for sure. Nice!

Are they matte black, or crinkle black? Can't quite tell from pics.

You were right, the black lugs look way better than the chrome ones would.

Technically they're matte grey. They almost look like granite. I bought them with the intention of painting them STi gold, but I ended up liking the a lot more than I thought I would. They're just sprayed, so it's not like I couldn't go back to this color if I hate gold too. The pictures do not pick up their true color either. They look much darker in person, and match the 2-tone paint almost perfectly. I don't think white cars should have really reflective and shiny wheels, since the white isn't very reflective by itself.

Yes, they say they are Hankook S1 Evo's, 225/45/ZR17, 94Y Rated (186MPH+).

I agree the Matte Black looks much better than I thought they would. Normally I don't like black wheels very much but these look real great. Those pictures are really getting me more excited to finish my wheel project.

I'm excited to see yours too! I think you'd be better off with a semi-gloss black instead of a matte black, mostly because your silver car does indeed reflect things. Not as much as a black car would, but certainly more than mine does.

Nice wheels, no offense, I hope you plan on refinishing those, they look like they are covered in brake dust, and definitely do nothing for that pearlie.

matte black totally works on your car but it needs some work
also i personally am not a fan of that stripe/line thing going all the way on the side...
good looking car though...i'd kill to make mine look like that:cool::rolleyes:

My original plan was to buy gold STi rims, but I couldn't find anything under $1,000... I paid $350 for these with the tires, so I couldn't pass it up. By the end of the summer they should be gold, but I'm definitely happy with the way my car looks on these. They look much darker in person, and a lot less like brake dust. :p I've never been in love with matte black, but these do look good. Considering they were only sprayed, I will probably sand blast them and spray them gold when I get a little spare time on my hands :)

Edit: these tires don't need to be refinished. They were never matte black. They were matte grey. :)
