Subaru Baja
 

Has anyone else seen the new Subaru Baja? I got my brochure from Subaru a month or so ago and it looked kind of neat. Had the Avalanche style "Mid-gate" to extend the cargo area. Think Outback with a pick-up box instead of a wagon body after the rear doors.

Baja? last I heard it was the Subaru STX... but who knows these days..

Unfortunately ALL it is is an Outback with a box.

The original STX concept was much more interesting. I was turned off when I found out the reality.

I saw the baja at the auto show about a month ago. It's a cute looking truck (and trucks arn't supposed to be cute). I like the engine specs on STX. They watered down the baja so much from the concept.

Good news is that SOA is not bringing back the SVX anytime soon. I hope that is the case. I wonder how much they can water down on the new so called SVX.
