instrument cluster help

hey guys, my tach doesn't work. it quit when we brought it back from florida. but yesterday it worked just a little bit, when i got on the gas, it moved up. i'm in auto tech at school so i can get it fixed. but i need to know if it's a sensor or a computer problem. my speedometer don't work either. email me if you've had yours do that to you. my email is jcbdvd6@yahoo.com

Sounds like a connector could be loose. Check on the front differential or in the transmission wiring looms under the intake snorkel.

Is there anyway to calibrate the speedometer? I'm assuming the SVX uses a speed sensor as opposed to a speedo cable, and I don't have the first clue about any type of calibration methods. My car reads about 5-7 mph over at 30 mph as evidenced by several of those "your speed" signs that I pass during my weekly commuting.
