svxparts.com very efficient.......

I ordered a remote from subaru parts a few days ago. I wasn't expecting to have them even ship it for a month or so. I was suprised to see they shipped it today. Funny thing is I live about 30-50 miles from seattle and they used "Airborne Express" what are they gonna do, fly it to oregon then back to seattle and put it on a truck? Anyway I'm sure they didn't put it on a plane at all I just thought it was funny that they used something called airborne express to ship to someone within an hours driving distance.

Yeah they must be getting better, when I ordered my window switches it said it may take 4-10 days to ship, but I got the package on Saturday only three days later (2nd Day shipping). :)

This is good news. A few weeks ago they wouldn't return my calls or emails. I have parts to order, so I look forward to some speedy service. :)

Did you guys order by phone or online?

gcookaustin 05-16-2002 01:13 PM

subaru bucks

Does subaruparts.com take the subaru bucks that mbna used to
give out for using the subaru creditcard?
I managed to get enought for one certificate b4 that killed the program.

Im just waitng for it in the mail.

I've lost my remotes and would like to grab some other stuff as
well

subaruparts.com 05-16-2002 05:12 PM

mnba certs can be intresting. Usually it is best to call us (877-473-6200) to place your order, and then mail in your certificates (insure them!). We cannot give change on certificates (sorry).

this may be a bit rude, but here goes.

you guys may want to check prices with 1stsubaruparts.com, i have heard that their prices are lower. Scott Williams, formerly of subaruparts.com, is working there.

Its not rude...

Yes I am aware of the difference. I am also aware of the fact that we have a site that has been nearly three years in the making that also does many times the volume in part sales...

If you are suggesting that your reliability or service are worth the higher price, I recommend that you think again. While your business has been praised by members on this site, even by me, your service seems to be terribly inconsistent.

I cancelled an order with subaruparts.com earlier today because I am sick and tired of never receiving a reply when I call or send you an email. I am tired of never getting a person when I call your 800 number. I had to find the number for your dealership in order to talk to somebody. That doesn't instill the confidence required to place an online order.

My wife ordered a remote from you guys to give me for Christmas. She waited a few weeks, then spent a week calling, trying to talk to somebody. Finally she was told that the remote was backordered - nice of you to tell her.

I would like to think that we have multiple places to purchase parts from online, but if your service does not improve, and stay consistent, I will no longer even check subaruparts.com's prices.

amen to that.. well spoken brother pockets.

Low prices are fine and good, but there is no replacement for a live human being on the other end of a computer or telephone.

I personally buy my parts from Liberty Subaru in NJ at wholsale mail order prices and have been happy with their service.

Come on. Customer service is (IMHO) as important as availability and almost as important as price. 3 months past I had an order for some interior parts and never..... never heard a word. My credit card # changed and a week ago I had a short call from your "customer service" that said that my order was ready but there was a problem with my card..... I called that day and was put on hold for over 1 hour and then hung up on. When I called back, the phone rang and rang. I tried the next day and after three tries to get through, I finally got a message machine that said that your normal hours of operation were well within the time that I was calling ... I left a message but never heard back...... being able to look at your diagrams was nice.... But I have purchased the parts sheets and now have the OEM part numbers at my disposal. Give Scott @ 1stsubaruparts.com a while... he'll have it up and running soon with the diagrams.

I would welcome more than just one on-line source for parts. The SVX gods know so well what we are up against in this battle. But right now you have three strikes from me. strike one:The first order from you (a remote) took over 8 weeks to deliver without one call saying that it was backordered. Strike two: No call in three months on the interior parts. The one time I was able to get through, the same story (true or not, it doesn't matter) the parts were on back order. The third Strike... the post above. Volume on back ordered parts? If there is a demand have the parts availible. Three years of service?....

Please understand that I am not mad at anyone. I am just relaying the information and an opinion.... And before anyone else says the old line about opinions and A$$holes.... I have many people that will back up the fact that I can be......

Business 101, Lesson #1: The primary goal of any business is to service the customer. Until that goal is achieved no other goals are attainable and are thusly inconsequential.

customer service....

well said, Beav!
