Newbie from Canada....with question

Howdy folks,

I didn't realize there was such an active SVX board, this is pretty cool. Just purchased my second SVX which is RHD few months ago,and loved it so much. Anyone know if I can install the ECUtunes which is designed for USA models?

Thanks for the help.

Presumably your car is JDM? The first problem is that the JDM ECU doesn't have a socket on the board. You have to solder it in yourself or swap it for a USDM ECU.

The ECUtune chip being based on the USDM ECU will expect to find an EGR system that your engine doesn't have. Therefore you will probably get an EGR error code.

I thought all the models (USDM and JDM alike) without the active 4WS had passive 4WS. Is that incorrect?

Yes, it's JDM. Other than swap the JDM ECU for a USDM ECU, is there any ECUtune chip that is based on JDM ECU?

"Flatt Racing", a Japanese tuner, did a chip for the JDM ECU. I don't know if it is still available.

After I release the aggressive software that doesn't really bother with ignition advance learning for the US market I may move it over to versions for the other markets as well.
