New photos of my Polo
 

After almost 4 years of ownership, I finally used my new digital camera yesterday to take some photos of my 96 Polo.

Currently running flawlessly with just under 98,000 miles. Pics in my locker.

Hmmm the polo seems to be about the same color as the teal? I dunno maybe its just the lighting? :confused:

It's definitely the lighting!

When the car is in the shade it looks very blue, but in the sun it becomes a bright rich green. Similar to this photo.

I looked at my photos of my car taken by various members and they all give it a blue cast. Something about the Pearl I think.

Yeah, in person its definently a light and bold green. If its parked next to an emrald pearl its like night and day. It makes the teal actually look blue by comparison

Nice lic. plate! I wonder if you can drive w/o the front lic plate in MD?

I had mine off before but I got ticket for no front lic. plate....! Some people put the plate behind the front windshield but it might block my view.

Legally you can't. I have not had a front plate on my SVX in over six years. (Here is a picture of my pearlie back in 1999)

Like the pearlie, my Polo's front bumper is perfect, so it looks as if it could have just been repainted. My favorite Subaru dealer "Special Orders" me the front tag bracket every month (but never actually submits the order) and gives me a copy.

That way, if I am ever stopped, I would tell the officer that I had an accident and the front bumper was repainted, but the tag bracket was destroyed. I would then pull out the current "Special Order" receipt for the bracket (which is never more than one month old) as proof that I am conscientious.

This part is always on back order and very hard to get. ;)

I still wonder how corvettes get away from that! I've never seen vettes with lic. plate on the f-bumper.

John, your svx is awesome, thats how clean I kept my mustangs. Now I can only hope that my svx could look like that.:( Look at my photos. How do I post large photos instead of attachments.
