run in with an M5....
 

Well leaving my SCCA info meeting tonight i ran into a lady with an M5 who was at the same meeting. We were merging onto the highway, which happened to be a 2 way mergeing . I was nearly even with here through two gears(i had her in frist and she pulled slightly in second) and third gear was all hers, she definly had it so i gave up. But i was so impressed on the 5psd through 60mph, she was even impressed, and was rather embarrassed when i told her that the car was not highly modified! I will sleep great tonight@@@!!!

Not bad for an SVX to hold its own against a $70,000+ car with a 4.9L 8 cylinder making 394hp, even for just two gears!

Makes me want a 5 speed! :)

how long did it take you to put the 5 speed in?

took my friend who is a suby master tech and i about 20 hours total, it would have been less, but going through and finding a few interference points ate some time.

Last fall I was running with a M5 coming home from my work in Boston while we were traveling at 120-125 north on 95 on an empty sunday afternoon his exit was coming up. He dropped the peddle to the floor and took off as if I had the brakes lock up. I couldnt beleive the pickup on that thing considering we were already at 120mph.
