factory reverse backup light wire color? for backup camera
 

hi i am looking for a reverse backup light on the factory wiring harness so i can wire up a back up camera? is there a wiring diagram that would tell me what wire to tap in too?

From the FSM.



The 12V power is the brown wire with the yellow stripe. The black wires are to ground.

my aftermarket radio harness has a reverse gear signal wire.
So in order for the radio, to know that i was in reverse i will have to tap in to the brown/yellow wire run that wire to my aftermarket and attach it to the reverse gear signal wire?
also is there a closer location of that wire from the radio?

the switch on the side of trans is pretty easy to get to but i would just put a switch somewhere, a lot of backup cameras and head units take several seconds to switch on and to the different input which can be annoying when you are doing a multi point park job. if you have the switch you can turn it on whenever you want.
