Does California ever have any meets?

I mean, c'mon now. I know of two SVX's in my county alone. And I'm in the boondocks of northern california and still I cant find anything about a meet anywhere near me. Is it true that they just doent exist or am I missing something? I'm looking at the lists for this reading thing, and I'd love to go to one on the west coast if one ever happens. It would be great to see what others have done with their cars also. Maybe give me some more ideas on how to further personalize my own. Us lonely californians. I have my car all dressed up but she has no prom to go too! How frustrating.

Oh I wish Ihad known... Not that I would have been able to go anyway. My tranny went and the my car was out of commission for six months. I wasnt up and running again until late march early june of that year. Sounds like you guys had a nice drive though. I wish... Say where is this matt guy, Think he'd star up another. I would if I could but I don't know very many people here, and really i havent the time to organize it.

It organized itself pretty much. we all made suggestions and determined a place to meet in the two forums (Yahoo and Here)

At the time the Yahoo forum was a better place (before the advertising).... uh ... that's not that it was a better place than here.... it was just better than it is now.....(avoiding flame......I hope  )

Unca,

We all started at Yahoo.

Greg - if you are ever really in the mood for a meet, keep an eye on the Northwest Forum. I had thought CA, especially the Bay Area, was more active, but maybe I was just thinking of that one meet last year. Anyway, up in the Seattle area we get together every couple months or so and our numbers are slowly growing. Eventually we might be to the point where it would be worth your time for the drive up. :)

Also, we are a NW group, not just WA, so eventually I'm sure we will be having some meets down in Oregon if there is enough interest so that would be even closer for you.

Thanks for the tips, Washinton is a little out of my neck of the woods though. I've never been to a meet before and I'd kinda like to check out won closer to home before I start heading out of state for one. Congrats on you numbers though.

There are SVX meets in California! We have had 2 and Nik is putting together the third. Check out the meet thread:

http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...&threadid=8967

He also started a website about it at www.svxmeet.tk

I'll be going to this one (I missed the last one). Nothing better than a parade of SVXs winding through mountain roads. Come one, come all! It's worth the trip.

Cheers,
Matt

P.S. I know this is a belated reply. It's the first time I have check the forum since Jan 4! It's amazing how much time is taken up by skiing (to the exclusion of everything else).
