My carpet is soaked

Well, underneath the carpet is soaked. Is this common? My old SVX was exactly the same way. All the foam stuff is soaking wet. -Dennis

From what i had up the other day, it was behind the drivers seat... i dont know about the pass side

TomsSVX 04-17-2008 10:18 PM

hmmm... Maybe sunroof drains are clogged or disconnected??? It all under(over) the headliner.... which is a pain... Any obvious moldings loose or worn...window seals??

My trunk was collecting water when I first bought her. The water would slosh up and get inside, soaking the carpet. I pulled 2 of the plugs around the spare tire and the problem went away.

But the carpet is the only thing thats wet... if it were the seals, wouldnt the entire interior be wet?

The trunk is dry

TomsSVX 04-17-2008 10:37 PM

no the drains run down the side of the interior, as best I can remember... Worth a check to try and find it

Agreed.

When I got my latest SVX, there were 3 mice living under the back seat. They chewed up the foam and made a real mess.
