Hose kit
This is probably a dumb question, but I was just wondering if you could buy a kit with all new hoses from Subaru the same as you can buy a full gasket kit. I broke off more than a couple of dry rotted hoses removing my intake, it seems like a hassle to go through and figure out whats broken and look up the part number for each individual one and order them.

Re: Hose kit
On that note,
Perhaps a stock replacement kit for all silicone hoses, rather than natural rubber, to withstand the underhood heat without rotting/drying and getting brittle like that... |
Re: Hose kit
Yeah, when I resealed my engine I looked for a hose kit but didn't find one either. It's really easy to get the hoses you need though. All you have to do is go to the local auto parts store and bring the hose you broke and they'll cut you whatever length you need. And this way it's cheaper and you don't have to wait for Subaru to ship them:D.
ps: for some of the strangely formed hoses it might be a good idea to get the OEM so that everything fits correctly and you don't kink hoses |

Re: Hose kit
Yea the strangely formed ones are the main thing. You would think a full kit would be available, if ones dry rotted then the rest probably are.

Re: Hose kit
There is a fairly complete list of OEM part#'s in the how to folder. Someone should add the breather hoses to that list.
