Thanks alot. The paint price seems good, but the primer, and clear coat seems pretty steep. Is there something special about this primer or is it over priced, or is it a good price? Thanks again.

Dang you can even get Ferrari red.

Any primer will do. Their prices are crazy!

If you're looking to save a buck (actually $27/can), check this out

The paint is not exact , but it's pretty damn close.

P.S. I think I was the first Claret to paint my grill. :D

Thanks i really dident want to spend $40 bucks to paint a grill i may get rid of, for a 97, or if small car would ever come out with one. Iam not really dont have that much experiance when it comes to paint, what color primer would you sugest to make the paint mathc the best. Thanks again.

I used a grey primer (cause that's what I had) and normal Duplicolor clear coat on the area I used the Director Red. White primer would definately be too light, black would probably be too dark. I imagine a dark grey would probably match best if you can find it. The pic in my locker (bad quality) is actually using a different color without any primer, it was supposed to be temporary but I just kinda left it (that was over a year ago). Director Red (266) is an even closer color match than the color I used on the grill, and most people think my grill is stock (a paint chip from a rock gives it away). When I have time, I'm going to sand the grill, prime it, and paint it with the Director Red. I don't remember if I mentioned it in the other thread, but Director Red is actually in Duplicolor's Truck line of paints, not Auto/Import. And when using Duplicolor paint, when you clearcoat, make sure the humidity is below 50%, or the clear coat will develop a whitish haze.
