Woy WOy run - 6 July - who's in???

Well, looks like I am heading up to Woy Woy to check out a silver SVX for Luke - naturally, this is a fine day for a spin up from Sydney so who is interested??

Countess, you seem to have a pretty nifty digital camera so any chance you may be interested in coming along to take some photos of the car so that Luke can inspect them before he flies up from Melbourne??

If we can get some together that would be great

Cheers

James

Sorry, I am skiing this weekend, whoo hoo!
Perhaps there will be a little slippery stuff on the alpine way to test out the transmission.
Have a good run guys.
Cheers, Mark.

I should be building but, what the hey, I'm in ;)
I also have a digital camera, so where are we going?

Spotted another SVX tonight near Rose Hill race course, dark and raining but looked like red with black top, no wing, rego; MS-336
Arthur.

OZ_SVX96 07-01-2003 08:09 AM

That was me. How did you get the plate, but miss the wing, and it's a solid red, but I suppose I was blasting through that speed camera at the time and you might have missed it? Check the locker. Cheers, Mark.

Jamsvx 07-01-2003 09:22 AM

Wow...small world!

Arthur, glad to have you coming - Blake is also in so that is 3...there will be 4th SVX that we are seeing up there and then Countess of the Subies, and if I can get in touch with Chris and Kienan, that will be two more.

Skiing - lucky devil!!

I'll sort out the times but say, leaving Sydney about 10.00/30???

G'Day Mark, thought that rego looked familiar, like I said it was dark and raining, I was southbound as you were waiting at the lights and the back of the car was in the dark.
Hey, enjoy the slopes, and what do they say? "break a leg?" or is that actors :D
See you at Vaucluse house? is that still on
Arthur

pylon500 07-02-2003 02:25 AM

p.s. have just been questioned by my navigator,
Where do we meet?
What time do we meet?
Where are we going?
What are we having for lunch?
Where are we having lunch?
What else should we bring?
Who am I going to talk to when we get there??
After that my thumbprint started to hurt, so I went back out to my shed ;)
Arthur.

Woy Woy eh!
Interesting.
I assume the old road all the way.
Arthur you may need to change those spark plugs now.
I assume you are playing with bits of foam in the back garage with the fan heater going flat chat.
When you come in and if you are allowed let me know any details re Sunday (if you know anything yet).

pylon500 07-02-2003 07:27 AM

G'Day Nasty :)
Watch the site and/or I'll try to keep you informed, hey are you bringing your navgator? :D
Pylon.

OZ_SVX96 07-02-2003 07:47 AM

G'day Arthur, don't know about Vaucluse House details etc, perhaps James can let us know.

And if I do break a leg whilst on the white icey stuff, I will have to get my 13 year old daughter to drive the red one home. Uh Oh! A few years back I was at Mt Hotham for a week or so and the second day after arriving, I caught some nasty ice, cartwheeled and face planted, spectacularly I might add, not far from a fully loaded chair lift, just so the fans could enjoy it as well. Anyway the outcome was very red snow and ice (from the face plant) surrounding a twisted body still attached to my gear. After a quick check of the essentials ie: neck turns without cracking, limbs move independently and in the directions I want, lift ticket still attached to my jacket, I went to remove my left glove and noticed that my wrist was now articulated in an unusual position. You guessed it- I had, as the medical profession puts it, done a real job on my wrist. Needless to say I sat out the remainder of a verrrry long week, with my wrist and arm in plaster, spending quality time with a number of well thumbed motoring magazines. Thank god I went with some mates- as I got a chauffeured ride back to Sydney.

:)

pylon500 07-03-2003 02:43 AM

G'Day Again Mark,
I'm not a great fan of that cold, wet white stuff, so I had to fall out of a tree to get a matching wrist :p
Even had an audience to watch me do it as I had landed in the tree in a hang glider :D
The fun bit was a couple of weeks later driving my manual car with my left arm in a cast
Anyway, have a good one :)

*Pokes with stick* Hello, James, Are you there? WTHIGO

Jamsvx 07-03-2003 04:59 PM

Guys and gals

Sorry - been really busy at work.

Have sms'ed the fellow selling it to try and arrange a time - if I don't hear back from him this avo I will ring him and see what's happening.

Countess, are you coming????

If we go ahead, which we should, say departure from Sydney around 10.30am - I'll find the address of a park or reserve on the Pacific Highway near Chatswood etc that we can all meet.

As for Valculse House, mau have to put it off a bit - Harvey will most likely be heading down this way soon (wealth of knowledge) so can try and get that happening and gives enough time to try and get some others along

saga of SVX's.....

ok, looks like another purchaser in Sydney may be buying Rainor's car in Woy Woy (don't know who it is but obviously a keen SVX'er and therefore someone of exqusite taste! :D ) BUT

be that as it may, still would be a good reason to go up to Woy Woy since

a) a nice drive
b) Countess is going nuts - we need to give her a dose of Subbie's
c) Chris and his yellow SVX live up that way so can try and get him there
d) Kienan also may be able to make it
e) Rainor may come along if he still has the car and if he sold it, the new owner may be interested in coming up anyways
f) Arthur and Countess have digitial camera's = lots of nice photos to show how the 'Down Under' brigade can also get a meet together
g) Arthur may be able to photograph a certain charcoal grey round a bend on a certain old highway completely and utterly sideways

;)

Will get in contact with Gordon and Martin (2 other 1992 white SVX'ers) and see if they are interested - Countess, is the waterfront property still available??

If needed, my number is 0418224892

Cheers

James
