RIP John Tipton.

My brother-in-law passed away at 12:50 pm on tuesday.
I was sitting at my desk at work at 12:30, when tears started flowing.
I sent my supervisor an e-mail that I had NO idea what I was doing at work while he was laying in a hospital bed dying.
I punched out and HIT the GAS! I broke every 'law' I encountered with a car. I walked into his room and my sister grabbed me. She said that he had passed 25 minutes ago.
'Jack' was a PRINCE!! He raised 3 Wonderful kids and treated my sister like a queen!
They had 48 years together. Now she has to continue without him.
Gotta stop now... Can't see the computer very well...

I'm VERY sorry to hear this. Death isn't a thing any of us will be comfortable with but I hope it gets better soon for you, your sister, the kids and the rest of the family..

All in one week, that's overwhelming,,
but if it was their time to leave, all in one week could be best for you,,
Take some time off, you have some serious grieving left to do..

Thanks to the otherwise, pretty much, useless union, I don't have to be back to work till next wednesday. I might be over this by then!
I was sitting at my desk while the 'family' was burying my cousin when the 'overwelming' urge came over me to get to the hospital to see my brother-in-law.
I was hugging my sister next to his body when I got the call that told me he was dead.

I had been 'notified' by spirits, to 'drop everything and RUN!'.

Hi Jerrry.
We are here for you.
It occured to me late tonight who your brother in law was.
You haven spoken of him before and of what a great, patient guy he was.
You are in our prayers.
Tom

After 2 days of sitting in the recliner with the life sucked out of me, my son called and said that he wanted to paint his car. Not only did he want to do it, He wanted ME to get off my a$$ and do it NOW!
It took him an hour to 'shame' me into submission, but I agreed.
We headed to the farm and cleaned out the shop. He pulled the car inside and we set to work. 7:00, he had it outside putting the lights back on his 'Cobalt Blue' Mercury!
Since this was the FIRST car painted in that building, it's not really 'show quality', but that sucka is BLUE! (instead of me)
It took a while, but that was EXACTLY what I NEEDED!

I have till 5:00 today to get ready for the 'viewing' and tomorrows funeral.

Smart son you have,
You have much to be thankful for :)
Cobalt Blue , post some pics next week.

Say your goodbyes in the next two days,
All that you have learned from him makes him eternal in your soul,
in that way, he lives on :)

He found some 'pearl' fairy dust in the paint cabinet, so we domped it in the clear for the final coat.
It needs buffed before any 'pics' are shot!
Might be a week or two.
It's a 92 Grand Marq. 4 door with 18'' wires and some serious 'THUMP' in the trunk.

We finished up with all the funeral stuff today. The 'procession' was a MILE long!! I knew he was a good man, but that procession (in the RAIN) spoke volumes!

As I helped carry the coffin to the hearse, the folded flag slipped off. It slid past me and I managed to catch it with one hand without dropping my corner.
The hardest part was the gunshots and 'Taps'. (That ALWAYS gets me)

Thanks for the Prayers/Thoughts/ everything!
I think I might just make it through...
