Window design

Yes it is weird, but I was looking at some pics today, and I think The Mclaren F1 has the same kind of window desing as the svx.
Check it:

Crazy! I never knew about that.

Although I just noticed that the space that would roll down (if they are the same as an svx) is very small.

I think some of the Lotus have the same windows. And of course, the DeLorean.

Just check out the Designer's webpage: http://www.italdesign.com

No Lotus that I've ever seen has split windows like the SVX's. Italdesign did a concept for Lotus, called the Etna. It never went into production.

Guigiaro developed his wedgy, split-window coupe theme over many, many years and many concepts for many manufacturers. The SVX represents, I think, the ultimate design to come from this theme. Guigiaro may agree with me - none of his concepts after the SVX continued the theme.

one of the coolest cars every made was the Bugatti EB110 (also made in the EB110s, and ss models) It also has the window within a window, it really is the parent of the new Bugatti Veyron... (EB stands for the original something Bugattis name, 110 for the 110th anniversary and the S models were "sport" models that were lighter and the SS were lighter and more powerful) Basically the car was an amazing piece of machinery with a 3.5 liter V-12, quad turbo system made over 500 hp, and over 600 with the ss version and AWD to put the power to the pavement... only cost a half million or soo too:D

By the way the Lamborghini Countach i think had really small split windows too or maybe it was the diablo.. can't remember right now, although i'm thinking it was the Countach.

I am looking at Etna again. Man does it look like the XT or what.

In the prototype area of the website, it shows pictures of the Bugatti Chiron 18/3. That car is a predecessor to the Veyron. Very sharp car.
