Re: EG33 Powered Vanagon on Jalopnik
"The SVX EG33 engine - all 3,318-ccs and 230-bhp of it - is claimed to have but 75K under its belt, and like its four-pot brethren fits just fine here. In fact, when shoved up a Vanagon's bum it's also considered by many to make for the king of Vanarus".
 You gotta love Jalopnik. |
Re: EG33 Powered Vanagon on Jalopnik
My friend asked me to find him a Westy. I had no idea of the price these things command. And if it's a Syncro the price practically doubles. I got lucky and found a local 82 Westy with the diesel and 110k for $4k. He could probably sell it for double that now.
The EG33 in a Vanagon sounds tempting but all I can think about is the Poor SVX that was cannibalized to make it happen. |

I saw a customized Westy Syncro with an SVX engine a while back on Ebay. I think it sold for around $70,000.
I was quite an amazing vehicle but not $70,000 amazing. |
