That might be a good idea. It's been a couple years since I've been there but if I remember right, it was pretty clean water. And it should be pretty warm, for a mountain lake. Well the weather might be warm enough to justify swimming at least.

Oh, and we're bringing an inflatable raft so anyone that wants to take that out can. :)

tuzem 09-05-2003 11:24 AM

The forecast is showing 92 degress for Wenatchee tomorrow !!! :)) How nice ;)) I may bring a raft-boat along too :) My dad's got one. It should be lots of fun! Whe do we get to the camp site?

WestCoastSVX 09-05-2003 11:32 AM

My estimates have us arriving at camp around 6:00pm. That can be earlier or later depending how long people want to hang out at some of the other stops. :)

6:00 should be a good time though for everyone to set up a little, wander around, and then we can all meet back for "fire" and dinner at dusk.

tuzem 09-05-2003 11:33 AM

And swimming ? :)) Is that for Sunday?

WestCoastSVX 09-05-2003 11:51 AM

Swimming is whenever you feel like it! :D But yeah, Sunday is wide open for whatever comes about. People can even leave whenever they want on Sunday, or we can decide on a time to leave as a group. The only restriction is I think we have to be out of our campsites by a certain time, but we can still park in the main lot there if we want to stay past then.

Aly - I emailed them to you. Call me if you want and I can give them to you over the phone if needed. Easy to get to my place.

Come early

I was looking at the Mapquest estimates, and I know we will beat them, but still it might give us a little more freedom to try some suggested side routes and longer breaks if we get a bit earlier start. So how about we shoot for 9:30 A.M. at Earl's place, with FULL TANKS of gas ready to go. That way, we have a better chance of actually leaving right at 10:00 A.M. 9:30-10:00 we can discuss our battle plan and check out Earl's collection. :)

Speaking of gas, from Earl's house to the campground is about 260 miles, just sticking to the main route. So plan your tanks accordingly. And don't forget your camp fees too! ;)

Troy,

I can't make it at 9:30. I'm taking a couple of friends along and I've already made arrangements. Sorry! I'll try to get there 9:50 or so... Thanks!

Nick

p.s. What park fees? Just kidding :)))

the guy who will be in the right seat this trip is an old friend (we went to grade school together); he's an early riser like me and I won't be able to call him with final plans until he gets home from work in a coupla hours, so I'm pretty sure we can work this out.

There goes my beauty sleep!

:D

seasvx 09-06-2003 08:03 AM

(countdown: three hours...)

ensteele 09-06-2003 09:02 AM

Gosh, I had better get going! :)

Count down - 2 hours. :D

My cars get so lonely without visitors! :)

Thx, Troy, for organizing the NCT! And it was great to see & meet everyone! Ed had some time constraints so after Winthrop we needed to step it up a bit. Hope everyone had fun camping at Lk Wenatchee!

It was great and we will post pictures in the next day or so. No rain, but lots of wind. :)
