Power mode

Is there any way to manually put the car in the power mode? Because i have driven mine harder for longer periods of time than the owners manual makes it sound like you would have to for it to automatically go into the power mode and it never has.

Tap the throttle before flooring it to get power mode

My 92 has a power mode button aswell....

JBnAR 01-29-2004 05:04 PM

Is the power mode button down on the bottom left part of the shifter console?

Earthworm 01-29-2004 05:24 PM

There is no button on our cars. It's only engaged relative to how fast you hit the go pedal.

JLittell 01-29-2004 08:23 PM

Just stomp on your gas to the floor!!...that power button should glow!

Landshark 01-29-2004 11:15 PM

as Andy said above, a quick stab at the go pedal, and then floor it - should give the effect you're looking for. :D

hell, i don't even have a power LIGHT! :(

I am not sure about JDM SVXes but the following is for USDM SVXes.

96-97s don't have the power mode light indicator.

none of the USDM SVXes will have power mode button. If it is there(JDM/UK/German), it will be where the manual button on the shifter and the manual button will be in place of one of our buttons on the console (like hazard light panel).

Pay attention in class.... :p

This is the layout of a Euro SVX. Note the positions of ECON and MANU buttons.

JDM has MANU on the shifter and POWER where the MANU button is on the Euro cars.

Then you don't have a USDM vehicle. Where did you get it and where did it come from?

I do remember something about this... There is something that I read somewhere that tells you how to lock the car into AWD all the time... I can't remember if that included Power mode or not... As you can see by my signature, I no-longer have things such as "power mode" on my mind... Hehehee

Things on my mind now are as follows....
-----> "Man, I gotta get the clutch changed !!!!"
-----> "Gotta keep saving for the suspension kit!!!"
-----> "SS Brake lines!!! Need them!!!"
-----> "How much is it gonna cost to get the Brembo's from the STi switched to my car??? "

Hehehehe

I'm beginning to wonder if I should ask for first dibs when you get ready to head back to Oz. :D
