motor using lots of oil
 

So my SVX has been using oil really bad lately. It uses like a qt every 500 miles. The car has 125,000 miles on it. I know the oil is not leaking out so I assume its burning it. Also my fuel/air gauges is reading very lean. The car has plenty of power and does not feel like has lost any power.

I did some maintenance and this is what I found.

Just put a new battery in the car.
Fuel filter was almost fully blocked (replaced Fuel Filter)
passengers side Rear spark plug had a lot of white build up on it (replaced all plugs)
Air filter was a little dirty (it's an Accel filter so I cleaned it)
I sea foamed the motor a couple weeks ago. (lots of smoke)
I pulled off the intake hose and there was no oil in it at all.
Coolent was a little low ( I added some)

I was a new PCV valve that I will install when I get time.


Does anyone have any information things I can check stuff like that?

I realy hope the motor is not shot, that would realy be bad after all the mods/money I have put in to it.

Have you changed driving habits lately? Mine doesnt burn any in the city or level highway, but when I used to engine brake down from Tahoe 30 minutes a day it burned oil like crazy. Burning oil doesnt mean its shot, all cars do it after about 40K to some degree, so just check every other fill-up.

Well my wife drives it and be for that it sat for like 4 months.
