It finally turned over to 300k. Still running fine, especially now I have a heater/a.c. fan again!

Congratulations!
Glad the heater fan works too! |
Congrats! :D
It's always nice to see an SVX last (I hope mine will). Does this win the record for most miles on an SVX? |
Wow that is awesome. Happy to see a long living SVX. Im curious to know how many trannies you went through.
|
Congratulations sleepem. Hope to see you at the next get together. :)

Congrats Rob!
Thanks for remembering to PM me after the big occasion!!! Svxsubaru1, from what Rob (sleepem) has mentioned to me about the car, it's on the original trans and engine. This car should be in an SVX museum somewhere... -Chike |
Can we say retirement. Retire that car and hold onto it. SVX museum will be up and running shortly, now if only I can get people to donate to my SVX museum.:D
Keith PS Congratulations |
Congrats on your 300K!!
That's so wonderful! Burn no oil! Still on Original Engine and Tranny! :) Hope to see you go 500K in another 8 yrs when your SVX goes age of 20! :p My 92 is still 67k....don't know how long it'll take for me to catch ya.... :D |
Congrats, you're 30% of the way there:D
|
No, it's actually 22.3% on the way...:D
As of right now, I have 3 cars and 1 bike. Although I drive about 2500miles/mth or about 30,000/year. I only drive the SVX about twice a week, it's quite difficult to catch .... :p |
Not bad, people always look at me funny when I say I drive 30-40k a year...
What kind of bike??? |
Email Subaru USA, maybe you'll get a cool badge for the grill like Benz does.
Congrats-it's inspiring. |
I,m only the second owner of this SVX and I have essentially every receipt for any thing ever done to this car. The previous guy kept EVERYTHING!!
The engine had had only a couple of re-seals for oil drips, several timing belts and waterpumps. The tranny has had pretty much nothing but fluid changes. At this time it still runs great and shifts fine 90% of the time, occasionally at slack throttle it will sort of "forget" the 2-3 shift and act like neutral until the rpm comes back up. I feel it probably has some pretty major wear clearances internally and atf pressure drops until rpm is up. The engine burns and drops no oil, but I think has a couple soft (but not dead) cylinders. I drove a '92 Pearlie at a Burlington, WA dealer that had 138,000 on it and it had more power than mine, but the tranny and rear wheel bearings were shot. There was no 2-3 shift at full throttle, just went to rev limiter until you backed off, body in good shape tho. I offered $750 for it and they took my name and number but don't really expect a call... Thanks for all the interest in this car! I'm impressed! Sleepem |
what do you do for a living ????
coast to coast pizza delivery or
drive human donor parts around the USA ??? LOL thats so cool, if you can offer a little more details about the history of the car since youve owned it that would be cool. Hows it look on the outside ? :) |
