Reply to PM sent. :)

The STI panel filter is just an upgrade to the regular paper filter that comes in an STI from the factory (Subaru claims an extra 2hp).

You can order one from your dealer as it has a Subaru part #.

The STI panel filter also fits the WRX, SVX and previous generation Legacy (possibly a few other models as well).

HHAHAHAH so u paid how much for those 3 letters? Has anyone done any flow testing on it vs like a K&N or a team green? does team green even make filters for our car?

n00b on demand 08-15-2005 12:47 PM

Yeah you can by green filters for our cars. Dayle from motorsports warehouse sells them but you could maybe get it for cheaper.

$70 seems like a lot of cash for a filter that may or may not give you a power increase that is so small you probably couldn't measure it accurately on a dyno.

As far as I can see, it only makes sense if you are racing and trying to gain hundreths of a second. Otherwise IMHO, just put a $10 paper filter in and change it regularly.
