interchangable parts?

I went by O'Reilly's Auto Parts at lunchtime with a mind to order a few things: AC and PS/alt belts, air filter element, and PCV valve. Turns out I didn't have to order them; all were in stock. The thing is, not only is mine the only SVX in town, it's the only one for miles around.

Are these items the same as used on H-6 Outbacks?

All Subaru's use the same PCV valve....and the belts probably fit 50 or so other cars, as they are pretty generic.....The Top radiator hose on my XT6, is the same as a Nissan Pick-up......who'd have thought....

I knew there were multiple applications for many parts, but that many would surprise me. A pleasant surprise, at least.

thanks,

And is the OEM price the same for both the 6 and the pu?

I assume so, as I Asked my local parts place for a hose for my 89 XT6, and he had it in stock, so I asked (as I've got probably the only XT6 around here) why he had it in stock, he said it was the same part number as a Nissan PU.....was about $9

Betcha Subaru charges half again as much as Nissan charges for that hose. And Nissan probably charges a buck or two more than the local parts guy.

the EZ30 uses a single serpentine belt from the crank to the ps to the alt to the ac.
