Server and Services Update
 

The server project has been an uphill battle. This Link will explain some of it. We are very close to finishing it, but still need a few more donations to get the project finished up.

If you are new to the site or have been here for a long time and feel that you have benefited or have saved money, please consider donating to this needed cause.

Some of the services that will be added soon (when we collect the needed amount) will be:

1) email accounts
2) Auction Section with feedback (like eBay) with additional services
3) New Photo Lockers
4) New How-To Section
5) Time Slip Section
6) Vendor Links and Information
7) Site Hosting
8) Faster server speed and backup of the site.

Depending on the amount you donate, some of your services here will be upgraded, such as bigger locker space, and email accounts.

We need to get some additional parts and software to do some of these things, and any of the donations will help us out. If you can only donate $5.00, it is appreciated, and if you can donate more, that is even better. We feel bad that we are asking again for additional people to give, but we would like to get all of these services up and going in the very near future. If you have any questions, please contact myself, ensteele or Chris Townsend. I would like to thank all of you who have already donated and like to assure you that the wait will be well worth it. I am very excited to get this up and running. :)

Yes, we are short some and need to raise a little more to get the project off the ground. I have some exciting news to share later. :) :)

After 4+ months of logistical nightmares, the server we purchased for an awesome deal has arrived. Unfortunately, the deal was not so awesome after shipping. We got dinged a bit more than budgeted for shipping and to make matters worse, the server arrived damaged and missing parts. The work to migrate to the new server is still underway and things look promising for the new features and faster capability. This had an out of pocket expense for both Earl (ensteele) and myself. I know the upgrades will be worth it and I am excited as ever to bring the new services online. This being said, I am keeping the donations drive alive so we can not only get some replacement parts, but pay for licensing on some new software packages and reimburse Earl for his out of pocket expenses above and beyond.
