I was serious about getting the paint done...
 

..for those of you who doubted my newbie post full of things I wanted to do in the future. Hehe.

Also, no one showed any interest in my exhaust making plan, but I'd like to show this as an example of my "keeping it real" and being timely =)

Any comments welcome, the paint job is not that good, I paid very... very little and got a lot of body work done as well. For what I spent I should have just got a hand waxing or something. LoL.

Again, the color is 2006 Acura TL Anthracite Metallic (PPG), roof PPG black.

I know about the rims, I know its dirty, I know whats missing, etc etc etc so spare me =) This is less than 24h out of the spray booth.

Who painted it, and if you care to say, how much did it cost for a color change. Was it decent quality paint?

Very nice color, the photographer in me has always been a fan of gray :D

then that means you need to get a color camera :rolleyes: :D

i know a guy who is just getting into bodywork and he would do mine cheap... since i hve rececntly damaged my body :( :( i am soon looking to get a respray... and while im at it... if the price is right, why not go ahead and get a new color?

PPG is one of the best paint materials available. I personally like RM, but nice color you chose. I think the black roof is nice, but I wish you kept all the car the same color... but nice clean paintjob though :cool:

Perfect color choice! I personally would have kept the roof/trunk black though like the JDM and Aussie models.

Looks as good as I imagined it would. Cant wait to see all the little finishing touches you had planned in that one thread (namely the dark tinted windows, black SVX script and tail light blackouts)

Thx bunches... that one pic of the Aussie car looks the exact color... trippy... I thought I had the only one =) I thought long and hard on the black trunk and roof and decided to go this route... Believe me it was a tough choice!

For those that asked, its a friend of mine who did the painting and body work, so what I paid isn't really relivant... sorry... if it matters, it was less than $1000... lol for a TON of bodywork too. The paint quality is very good, PPG. the actualy spray is not so good, it has a tiny bit of run and a spot under the spoiler that didn't get a lot of clear... he painted it very quickly... and I dont mind considering that the body work alone that was done should have cost 3x what I paid and I got paint, too. =) Looks good from a couple feet though, so I'm OK with it for now. Will keep ya updated.

I think repainting a teal to that color wouldn't be real difficult. I'd love to have that color, and the shot Mike posted is the one that made me want that color long ago. :)
