O/T - Electric Delorean
|
anything would be an improvement over the P.O.S. engine that came in those cars. :)
|
I'd like to read about their day at the track. I tried all the news services and google, all to no avail.
|
It broke.
http://www.greaterthings.com/News/Ti...uff/index.html Methinks it's a hoax. They say he made like 14 laps, but came into the pits every 3 or 4 laps. Perhaps some sort of charging system hidden in the pavement or something? I dunno... |
its looks like his wheel bearing failed, too. i guess the window-in-window is not the only thing SVX's and DeLoreans have in common. :D

Power from "somewhere"
Ah.....Nikola Tesla. Now THERE was an interesting character.
Fertile ground for both revolutionary science and crackpots alike. Did he stumble upon something so revolutionary that he dared not share it with the world? Was he the target of a conspiracy? Brilliant in some areas and nutcase in others? Thomas Edison planned the distribution of electricity using direct current. Tesla prefered alternating current... ....guess which system won out? :) Don |
The Tesla electromagnetic vacuum is still being worked on by some top scientists who claim that the theory works.
A sceptic would point to all of the patents for propulsion units based on this being bought up by oil companies and car manufacturers, never to be seen again. But we all know that if there was such technology available, it would be welcomed with open arms by the oil barons and embraced by Ford and GM. Andy |
Carl Tilley comments: "we will fix the car....rig it for high speed track run.....also build a SUV and run both at the same time on the tract to prove the point.....I will not be discouraged by a small $25 part....hopefully we will set all this up again within 30 days."
Damn! It must be one heckuva bearing if it takes thirty days to replace it. Or maybe that's how long it takes to recharge a 'foreber' battery pack. All inventors are crackpots until the royalty checks start coming in. |
