Congratulations to the Subaru SVX Network

2 years and counting


Almost slipped our notice, but today the 21st February is the day two years ago when the posts started hitting the Network.

We have come a long way since that, I think we may be logging close to 100K posts at present.

Can I take the opportunity to thank the admin and backroom guys who make it all happen, and keep the lines of communication open 24/7. Good show guys, we appreciate it.:)

Somebody pop a cork or a box! Ron? Got any boxes of the bubbly stuff??

I remember the day when the network was started. Though I took a little while to switch over from the Yahoo club, it was well worth it. Milestones like this remind me of how greatful I am to have this club, and you people as my friends. My wishes to the network for many more years of bringing SVX owners together.

Though the official "Grand Opening" of the Network Forums was on March 15th (had to do some promoting to get folks to switch), this is indeed a momentous occasion. There were the naysayers who said that owners would not support this site. There were those who sent "hate mail" to our admin Chris Townsend for "breaking up the SVX community," and there were those who would resist the new (but, eventually made the switch :) )

Thank you, one and all, for making this THE definitive SVX forum site on the Internet.

Anyone who was at the 10th Anniversary Dinner, knows how emotional I get about our "family." I am so proud to be a part of it.

Long live the SVX World Network Forums -- of the SVXers, for the SVXers, by the SVXers.

Read Mike's above quote and that is pretty much my thoughts word for word. I remember the day this place started and it also took me a while to make the full switch. This is the best place on the WWW now though! :)

Good times, good car, and great people. Nice combination! I'm glad I've been able to meet so many of you here.


Just for the heck of it I went back to the Yahoo site for the first (an last) time since they started the pop-ups. I won't be back over there.

Is ANYONE back over there? Last time I checked over there a few months ago it was getting like 5 post a day.

I found this site a year ago and have enjoyed every minute I've been here.
I had the most incredible experience getting to meet all of you who were able to attend the 10th Meet. Believe it or not, when I describe my experiences there to other people, I usually end by saying that I really think the cars became secondary to all the wonderful people who attended.
I also am astonished when I think that if I had to drive across the country for any reason, I could always find a fellow member to share a meal, or even give me a room for a night.
This is indeed an incredible car, an incredible bunch of people, and an incredible site.
I'm so happy to be part of this family. :) :)
