Any one has a starter4sale?

When I turn the key to start, all lights on the instrument panel show,
when I turn further to start,no sound at all.
I had to turn off and try again, and usually 2-3 times, then it starts.
Lately,it get worse,my man said it may be the starter?

Anyone has the same,or know is it really the starter?

Or anyone has a spare 4 sale?

thanks..

Today,i parked at Wakkapapa parking lot,and I sweated, cos it wont start,
for 6-8 times,after a while,it started.
Its zeroo degree up there.

Im still at ohakune, hope tomorrow it starts ok,and will head back to auckland straight.

Try starting it with the shifter in the N position. I think you need to get a relay fitted to the starter solenoid, to fix the problem.

Harvey.

thanks very much Harvey, for respond so fast.
got some reply from the main pages as well, which said the same.

Is the relay connect near the ignition switch?under the steering wheel cover?
what its looks like?how to test if its good or bad?

Thanks
(apologised im a novice)

I have now had similar symptoms for some 12 months and I find that after a few tries it starts. Pressing the brake and moving the lever to N and back to Park speeds up the process.
I will be interested in your solution so i can do the same when it really gets bad!

The guy to talk to is Racerx4 (Peter Smith-West) at Titarangi, he had 3 SVXs at one stage, I know he has lots of parts still in storage shed. Let him know that Stephen (with RED SVX) put you on to him. His contact details are 0277506319.

As harvey and a lot of usa advices on the tech.Q&A page suggest:
the problem is not the starter afterall, rather its the relay.
but i figure,if I can start at N position when it happens,
then I may just leave it,n start At N when that happens.
thanks all.
