Car cover

Does anyone have a suggestion for a car cover? I technically need to cover my car while it is in hibernation.

OEM is great, but I think I got the last one. Might try ebay.

I'm using a Budge #3 from Wal-Mart. It fits well, but you have to figure something out for yourself on the front.
There is no front eyelet for a cord. We bunched it up a bit, and tied it to the front bumper.

I was going to comment and then thought, will the car be outdoors, all Winter?

Hopefully not. My wife needs to get her crap out of the garage. But when it is, I need to have it covered. I still intend to start it, let it warm up to temperature and drive it around the neighborhood once every week or every other week.

Advance Autoparts has a Covercraft brand for under a $100 that is a great fit (buy by car length) and has a soft material. I consider it more of a dust cover than weather cover.

Any car cover will end up scratching up the finish if left outdoors for long periods of time. Except maybe a few very high end, expensive versions.

You may want to consider what you put under the car as well. In my garage, I have vinyl garage mats ~ 9 x 12'
I stored both SVXs at my parents garage for the last year, with only old carpets under the cars. Much more surface rust on the underside than with the vinyl mats...
I use Costco $30 car covers, medium size. They fit ok, with the mirrors folded in. Just as dust covers, although some dust still gets through...

I've got the Subaru one which fits like a glove, but it is designed for indoor use mostly.

The Wolf Noah is the best car cover on the market and can be used indoors and outdoors. It is pricey, but will not scratch the finish of the car, and is made out of sunbrella material which is waterproof while still allowing it to breathe. (Similar to gore-tex.) They are made as a custom-fit application, and they do have the appropriate pattern for the SVX.

I went to wally world and they had a rain-x cover that also claimed to be waterproof, breathable and non-scratching.
