question about wiring
 

I'm having issues with my purge control solenoid. Is the white and red wire the positive lead and the blue red wire the negative? My problems started when I had to take my intake off to replace one of the thick hoses that goes under it because it snapped off(brittle). That is when I noticed the purge solenoid was broken off. So I replaced it with another solenoid, unfortunately I had to change the plug as well. First thing that happened was I got a CEL for the driver side O2 sensor. After replacing that the purge solenoid code came up.I have since replaced the purge solenoid with the correct part along with putting the plug back on for it. Is there anything that could make the purge solenoid not funcition like it should other than it not working?
