Rear cladding spoiler?
 

I don't really know what to call this but found one similar thread linking to an eBay ad but does anyone know the story behind the cladding with flap/spoiler? Was this to distinguish L/LS models from LSi kind of like the Dodge Stealth did with their base model and wrapped the entire car with that hideous molding to clearly set the few apart? ... or was it actually intended to add a bit of flare design to it all?

Just chip guard clear plastic.

Just a pre-cut protective urethane film to protect the paint in this area, which is vulnerable to road debris and chipping. Used on all models.

Oh ok, I wasn't sure. I noticed my 94 LSi didn't have them but the L did... that's all... thanks :)

It might be good if one of the moderators could rename this thread something like "side stone guard cladding".

As I would not call this "rear cladding spoiler"
